I was particularly enthralled by the Lido Di Roma, a delicate combination of seafood enhanced by fresh basil and zesty lemon, showcasing the freshness that defines Italian cuisine.
- Outstanding Insalate: The Insalata Di Casa brings a vibrant crunch, expertly balanced by the Castellis house dressing, while the Insalata Di Spinaci features a sweet and sour prosciutto dressing that elevates the humble spinach to new heights.

Had a fantastic meal. Went in with a large party and everyone really enjoyed the ambiance, service, and food. I had the ribeye, which was great, we shared the crab stuffed mushrooms, baked artichoke, and fried calamari and enjoyed all. Caesar salad was great and delicious. Also a large basket of garlic bread was a treat. Enjoyed the lava cake for dessert. Service was great. Cool restaurant very cozy with small bar with a piano player.

3.5 stars for this retro Italian-American restaurant. Highs: Easy to make reservations, prompt seating despite crowd, excellent service, delicious garlic bread Lows: We each had chicken breast entrees. The chicken was char-broiled which we knew, but made for an odd flavor. The chicken breasts were both huge & thick with their respective sauces poured on top. The sauces were fine, but seemed kind of fast-foodish to us.

My friends and I went to Castelli's for dinner during the Indian Wells tournament. It was easy to get a reservation for 6 without a lot of days in advance planning. As promised, it was like going back in time to an old Italian trattoria. We could hear each other well at our table tucked in a corner in the back room (although we had to request that they close the doorway which would otherwise be a throughway for the waitstaff to bring dishes to this dining room). Appetizers/Salads - fried calamari - 5/5, lightly battered, crunchy outside, delicious! - insalata caesar - 4/5, solid, fresh caesar salad (it's a rare caesar salad that I deem worthy of 5 stars) - insalata di casa - 5/5, i could eat this salad every day, the combination of fresh romaine, radicchio, spinach and the artichoke hearts, heart of palm, red onion, red peppers, fennel, mushrooms with their house dressing was fantastic! they also served a basket of warm slices of garlic bread which were to die for. 5*5! Main dishes - osso bucco - 5/5, four of us ordered two plates of osso bucco to share (price was $55 for one entree portion) and it came out beautifully plated as split portions which each person found to be the right amount, small forks were offered to eat the bone marrow - fettucine alfredo - 5/5, a friend ordered this and took the leftovers home for another two meals - vitella alla piccatina - 5*/5, i ordered this item and it came with two beautiful, thinly pounded, enormous pieces of breaded veal. when i told the waiter I couldn't decide between this and the linguine alle bolognese, he told me he would give me the linguine as a side which by itself could have been more than just a snack. He was so kind to offer this that I could not decline but found the two flavors not quite complementary so ordered another side of linguine with olive oil and lemon/pepper which was a better accompaniment. Which meant I had enough leftovers for another meal :) - can you tell who the biggest eater is in our group? Dessert - creme brulee - 4/5, this was really the only item that didn't wow us I definitely recommend Castelli's the next time you're in the area.

OMG AMAZING is all I can say about our dinner at Castelli's. We were visiting our cousins out in La Quinta and they took us here and recommended we have the lobster ravioli. They were spot on. It was soooooo decadent, creamy, and we were served so quickly. The garlic bread was absolutely the best I've had in years, and dragging the garlic bread through the lobster sauce, I couldn't believe how delish this meal was. We ate basket after basket of their garlic bread. No room for desert at all. We were stuffed with bread and lobster ravioli. Decadent mean!! The atmosphere felt like we were in an old-school Italian restaurant in NYC. We love everything about our experience here. I wish it wasn't so far away from where we live because I'd be eating here weekly! Definitely go if you love authentic Italian food with an old-school vibe.

Had a business meal here during the week and wow! Dinner was fairly early so it was empty when we arrived. It's like going back in time! By the time we left the place was hoping! It's definitely a local favorite. I had the lamb shank and it was some of the best I've had! Moist, flavorful and decadent. It's the type of place you want to eat through the menu at!

Great atmosphere, very old school. Noisy in the main dining area. Good wait staff and service. The complimentary garlic bread was good. Small baguette sized pieces. Entrees: - Linguine di Mare. Two of us had this. The seafood in my dish seemed to be a bit chewy. Good flavor though. - Linguine alla Vongole. Good dish. - Linguine alla Bolognese. Good dish. - Green Beans Almondine. This was the best dish of dinner. Perfectly cooked beans and nice slivered almonds. - Asparagus. Was a bit cold. Spears sed a tad mushy at the base but ok at the tips. - Castellis's After Dark. Good dessert. - Chocolate Lava Cake. Good.

My wife and I were looking for something new on our quick little getaway to Palm Springs and I am so glad I found Castelli's on Yelp. Typically, this is a place where reservations are needed, but we called anyway and the gentleman on the phone was extremely accommodating and got us a table. Upon arrival, even though we were severely underdressed (which the staff had zero problem with) they were expecting us, and sat us at a table within one minute. From the front door to the dining area the experience was already five stars and that's before the waiter and the food were about to take it to the next level. From the way we were dressed (extremely casual) they could've easily treated us differently, but that wasn't the case at all. We were treated with first class customer service from start to finish. About the food, I told my wife that was probably the best New York steak I've ever had and it went perfectly with my gluten free pasta. Both our waiter and server were extremely attentive to our dietary restrictions (gluten & dairy free) and even made adjustments to the meal to help. When you combine great service with great food, that's a combination you can never go wrong with and I highly recommend this quaint, yet charming Italian restaurant to all. We would definitely come back. Compliments to the chef and entire staff who made this a great experience.

We've visited several times since moving to the desert, and we've always had a good experience. It's an "old school" kinda place, with wonderful service, and good food. It's not inexpensive, but I'd consider it to be reasonably priced considering the level of service, and the quality of the food. They have a very nice bar, situated along the middle edge of the restaurant. I still haven't had a chance to just grab a cocktail and some appetizers, but it's on my foodie bucket list. We definitely enjoy the ambiance, and will continue to go back for more.
